SUPER EARLY BIRD BOOKING: Y.S.F. Lagos Art Tour 2024

We are delighted to open super early bird bookings for the third edition of the Yinka Shonibare Foundation Lagos Art Tour to Guest Artists Space (G.A.S.) Foundation incorporating the wider creative and cultural community, and ART X Lagos. In 2024, the programme will run from 30th October until 3rd November. Guests will be in the company of our Chair and Founder Yinka Shonibare CBE RA and the trustees and staff of Guest Artists Space (G.A.S.) Foundation, Yinka Shonibare Foundation (Y.S.F.), and be joined by globally renowned artists, curators and collectors.

 

The super early bird package for this trip costs 2,500 GBP (3,150 USD / 2,910 EUR)* per person and covers airport concierge service, trip management and coordination, visa on arrival (variable around 450 GBP per person), event catering, security escorts and transportation. A discounted rate of 1,750 GBP (2,210 USD / 2,040 EUR)* per person is available for members of public institutions and non-profits. An info pack including two recommended hotels with negotiated rates, local guidance and an initial itinerary will be shared in May 2024.

GUEST INFORMATION AND INITIAL PROGRAMME

Guests taking part in the Lagos Art Tour 2024 should plan to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday 29th October. Programmed events will take place between Wednesday 30th October and the morning of Sunday 3rd November and will include:

  • A day trip to the Ecology Green Farm and G.A.S. Farm House
  • A tour and private lunch at G.A.S. Lagos 
  • VIP Preview of ART X (including entry for the duration of the fair)
  • Artist studio visits
  • Museum and gallery visits
  • Annual G.A.S. Foundation party

 

All confirmed tour guests will receive our trip information pack in May 2024. The document will contain the following key details and we encourage all guests to read it before making any bookings or travel arrangements:

  • Flight booking guidance
  • Details about documents that need to be provided to Y.S.F. in order to help us secure your visa to Nigeria
  • An itinerary breakdown detailing activities that are scheduled for each day of the tour
  • In-depth hotel booking information
  • Health guidance including relating to vaccinations and malaria prevention
  • Currency and travel money advice
  • Information about weather and local conditions
  • More details about airport concierge, security and airport transfers

Please note guests are responsible for booking their own flights, travel insurance, and accommodation from our preferred list however Y.S.F. can provide assistance if needed. 


A TASTE OF OUR 2023 LAGOS ART TOUR

Between the 30th October and 5th of November 2023, we hosted the second iteration of the Lagos Art Tour. A group of patrons, collectors, curators and cultural stakeholders were invited to participate in a dynamic programme of events that offered an insight into the vibrant artistic landscape in Lagos and beyond.
